I'm so excited to share my newest body of work with you.

I have 11 new paintings on view at Portland Art Gallery in Portland, Maine — the show opened last week and runs through April 27th. This is my third show with the gallery, and each one has felt like a marker — this collection especially.

For the first time I expanded beyond shells and stones into driftwood, bones, and sea glass at a larger scale. But more than the new subjects, I found myself thinking less about the objects themselves and more about the forms they make. The shapes, the shadows, the way things relate to each other in space.

At the core of it is something I keep coming back to: everything I paint is a snapshot of a moment somewhere between becoming and what was. Organic forms, made and destroyed by the same forces. I think that's why these feel like more than objects — and it's something I hear from so many of you, which I really love.
